Synopsis: “FREE (Hadijatou Against the State)” is a documentary about Hadijatou Mani, the first woman to denounce her state, Niger. In 2008 the court of the Economic Community of West African States condemned the government of Niger for allowing a girl to be sold and subjected to forced labour and sexual violence. This historic event marked a before and after in the struggle to eradicate slavery in the 21st century.
